Blueberry Almond Oatmeal
Fight the cold with this warm, delicious, easy breakfast. Simple to make and delightful to eat!
1 cup oats (I like using 1 minute oats because they cook fast… necessary when I have places to be in the morning! But feel free to use old-fashioned or steel-cut… Whatever floats your boat!)
1 3/4 cup whole milk
2 tsp sliced almonds (or eye the amount you want)
1/4 cup frozen blueberries (again, doesn’t have to be exact- eye the amount you want)
1/4 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp almond extract
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp butter
pinch of salt
Mix the vanilla and almond extract into the milk. Add the oats and cook according to package instructions. Add in the brown sugar, almonds, butter, pinch of salt, and blueberries. Voila! You now have a delicious, easy, and oh so warm breakfast. Stay warm!!
